Well, as predicted, well fed was I at the Polish Fest. And as good as the grilled kielbasa-on-a-bun was, the after the fact pierogi and onions were even better.

Generally speaking, I’m all for obsessively doing it from scratch, whatever it may be. But there are times when what comes out of the bag just hits the spot. The T&L Pierogies sold by the dozen at the St. Stan’s bash do just that.

They’re made by a small outfit out of Hazleton, PA, and come in frozen. But dice up an onion, fry it in butter and toss in the pierogi until golden, I can’t imagine anything more heart warming. Unless you maybe decide to add sauerkraut. Which I certainly did.

Anyway, now you’re up. Amazing tacos at the Latino Fest? A late season barbecue in the back yard? Maybe a big bag of cotton candy at the fair? Do tell, what was the best thing you ate over the weekend?
